๐ Jammu Bureau ) Today Shri. Mukesh Singh -IPS Additional Director General of Police Jammu Zone, decorated Sh. Ashok Kumar, SSP Staff Officer to the rank of IPS, who has recently been inducted by MHA alongwith other officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police services vide notification dated 29-09-2023.
Thereafter, a farewell function was also organized by ADGP Jammu Sh. Mukesh Singh, IPS in favour of Sh. Ashok Kumar -IPS SSP at Conference Hall, ZPHQ Jammu who is attaining superannuation from service today on 30th of September 2022 after serving in the Police department for more than 24 years.
While speaking on the occasion, ADGP Jammu Zone and DIG JSK Range Sh. Shakti Pathak also highlighted and lauded the work/efforts put in by the officer during his service in the department in different capacities while his posting in vigilance organization, PTS Vijaypur, and Staff Officer to ADGP Jammu Zone twice.
Pertinent to mention that for his outstanding performance in duties, Shri Ashok Sharma- IPS, SSP earned number of Commendation certificates/rewards and appreciations from senior formations from time to time. More-over for his utmost excellence towards his duties, he was awarded with DGPs Commendation Medal in the year 2004 and in the year 2007, Chief vigilance medal for the year 2007 and an amount of Rs. 51000/- for displaying conspicuous and exemplary courage in while discharging his duties.
The function was held in appreciation to the services rendered by Sh. Ashok Kumar -IPS SSP (Staff Officer) to the institution. The department wished him a happy and prosperous post-retirement life. Sh. Chandan Koli-IPS SSP Jammu, Sh. Rajinder Katoch-JKPS SSP Staff Officer to DIG JSK Range, All the GOs, NGOs and staff of the ZPHQ Jammu was also present in the function.
