Predictions are some of the most important events in every religion since the start of human civilization. There is hardly any religion or sect in the world which has not experienced the same. But sometimes these predictions are so important that it brings turning point in the life and religious philosophies of the world.
The predictions become more important when these are given by the lord to the human directly while interacting at spiritual scale. One such important event that gave birth to the Ahmadiya Muslim Community was the event of miraculous prediction given to a pioneer of Ahmadiya Muslim Community Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadiyani.He was a devoted and Muslim born at qadian in the District Gurdaspur in Punjab in the year 1835 AD. He was a follower of Hazrat Muhammad Sahib from the core.
He claimed that he was sent by the lord almighty (Allah) for bringing reforms in Islam and among Muslims as Imam Mehdi. Many people believed his words and claim keeping in view of his strong moral character and personality but opposition and doubts were not unexpected. So few, asked for the proofs of his claims. So he prayed to Allah (Lord Almighty) for giving him some sign to prove his claim and satisfy the curiosity and settle the doubts of would be followers.
In answer to his prayers Allah (Lord Almighty) answered that his wish would be fulfilled at Hoshiarpur. So he travelled to Hoshiarpur on 22nd Jan, 1886. He stayed in a Hoshiarpur downtown in a building and meditated with austerity for 40 days. As a result of that Allah (Lord Almighty) appeared and answered that he would be blessed with a son in 9 years who will be extraordinary in qualities and will bring reforms in Islam and will give new directions to the people and especially to the followers of Islam.
On 12th Jan, 1889, he was blessed with a son named as Mirza Bashiroodin Mehmood Ahmed. He was his successor and second Khalifa of Ahmadiya Muslim Community. He led the Ahmadiya Muslim Community for a period of 52 years, under great difficulties and limited sources. He wrote many books and underscored the bad practices that were rampant in the Muslims at that time. His efforts, dedication and commitment brought fruits and Ahmadiya Muslim Community grew as one of the most respectable communities around the world.
So ultimately the prediction and words of Allah which were destined to be true in the living world became reality surpassing all doubts. Ahmadiya Muslim Community celebrates the birth of second Khalifa 20th February as day of Muslay Mauod. Although this important and sacred day is celebrated around the world by the Muslim Community but it has great importance for the Ahmadiya Muslim Community Centre located at Hoshiarpur at Purani Kanak Mandi, where the prediction was given by Allah to Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad.
People from around the world visits this place every year and offer their prayers. It is quite noteworthy that Ahmadiya Muslim Community is the one of the most global, educated, affluent and above all peaceful Muslim Community of the world not even of Islam whose followers are present in more than 200 countries. Ahmadiya Muslim Community pays respect to every religion so is respected by all religions. It is known for its great human values and practicing Islam in its real and true principles.
