The message of empathy for humanity comes with the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr

Qadian 9 April (Salam Tari)

Muslim celebrates Eid-ul-Fitr at the end of the blessed month of Ramadan, while praising and glorifying Allah. Truthfulness, kindness to strangers, empathy for creation, and compassion for people are the virtues that Ramadan instills in Muslims. Now, at the end of this blessed month, the day of Eid is an opportunity to reaffirm our determination to make these lessons a permanent part of our lives.
One of the unique features of Islamic teachings is that it emphasizes not only fulfilling the rights of Allah but also the rights of His creation. To show compassion for God’s creation, the payment of Sadqat-ul-Fitr (charity given at the end of Ramadan) is made compulsory during the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers. In fact, it is necessary to pay Sadqat-ul-Fitr for the rights of the poor before going to Eid prayers so that the poor can also be included in the happiness of Eid. By including the poor in our happiness, we can truly enjoy the real joys of Eid.
The Founder of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (peace be upon him), the Promised Messiah and Mahdi, said, “Having compassion and empathy for fellow human beings is a great act of worship and a wonderful way to earn the pleasure of Allah.”
On the occasion of Eid ulFitr, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Khalifa tul Messiah V, (May Allah be his helper), has given a message to the community explaining the purpose of celebrating Eid. He stated that “Eid is not just a day to gather and celebrate like any other festival, but it is a day where we are responsible to fulfil our obligations entrusted by Allah Ta’ala, which goes beyond the regular days. It is necessary to fulfil our duties of worship, as well as the rights of our fellow beings.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community India presents a heartfelt gift of Eid Mubarak to all Muslim brothers and expresses good wishes for the whole world. We pray that Allah Ta’ala makes this Eid a source of blessings, peace, and security, especially for India and the entire world. Ameen.
